This is a long shot from the 2013 movie The Conjuring. What I love about this shot is the environment encompasses the house as if it will swallow it whole. Given the noose hanging in the foreground the rest of the scene invites a sense of impending danger and isolation of the house. It looks like there could be woods for miles around this old farm house; both the fog and the surrounding forest look almost as if they're hiding something from the viewer, wanting to keep your vision and thoughts clouded. In all, this one long-shot really sets the scene giving the viewer a sense of curiosity and cautiousness. |

Such a cool shot! You do a good job describing its interest and appeal. I haven't seen this movie. Is it scary?
ReplyDeleteIts super creepy, I love it! Some parts can get a little corny but what's a horror movie without that? I especially love it because of Lorraine Warren's actual hidden appearance, she's amazing.
